Please save the date for the Race for Education: "Parade of the Grades" on Wednesday, November 22nd.
Race for Education is the biggest fundraiser for the SSS PTO and LPS Preschool PTO. Students will walk laps outside of the school and collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbors in support of the walk!
Your support allows the PTOs to continue to fund many great enrichment programs and events at SSS and LPS Preschool. The money raised this year will directly benefit the teachers and students at the school, including supporting aesthetic updates to the SSS lobby with word art and themes reflective of SSS values and the SSS school community.
This year, students in each grade will wear their grade color to show school spirit on Race Day:
🔷 Pre-K: Purple; K: Blue; 1st: Green; 2nd: Yellow; 3rd: Orange; 4th: Red
🔷 Tie dye apparel specific to grade colors can be purchased in advance through October 23rd by clicking this link http://stores.inksoft.com/sss_race_for_education OR students can simply wear a shirt they have in their grade color! PreK can wear either purple or order a rainbow tie dye shirt.
The Race Day schedule on Wednesday, November 22nd is:
🔷 K and 1st: 9:00-9:30 am
🔷 LPS Preschool: 9:15 - 9:30 am (in the preschool playground)
🔷 2nd, 3rd, and 4th: 9:45-10:30 am
Rain date is Wednesday, December 6th, same times as above.
