Discovery Museum
Discovery Museum visited the 3rd graders and conducted a Dinosaur workshop! The students acted as paleontologists as they excavated from a mock dig site, unearthing fossils! They also compared the bodies of different dinosaurs in order to build an understanding of differences and similarities, heredity and variation. This program supports the Massachusetts curriculum frameworks and STEM initiatives.

Helen Keller – Champion of the Disabled
The program was written from Helen’s mind eye. The story was told on a taped voice over as Helen reenacted her full life from her childhood through her discovery of language when she was seven years old to the writing of her twelve books. She showed the children how she spoke and read in Braille, and her story continued through her graduation from college. This unique and very special programs helps children understand and accept the different ways people do the same things and inspires them to be the best they can be with the talents they possess!
